Change for the Better
This strand of the Fringe COP28 will take place in Page Hall, at the Oasis Community Hub. Over the two days we will have film screenings, kids activities, reading corner, and a celebration event to launch the Oasis Academy Fir Vale co-created children's book.

ECHOES OF EARTH: TALES & TUNES FROM THE IRANIAN FOLKLORIC LAND
Iranian Enviornmental Issues explored through music, art & storytelling
Yousef Sadat leads on organising"Echoes of Earth: Tales and Tunes from the Iranian Folkloric Land" that invites you to be immersed in a transformative afternoon of captivating imagery, mesmerising music, and powerful stories.
This event, organized on the margins of the 2023 COP, aims to highlight the profound connection between traditional cultures and sustainable practices, using the enchanting richness of Iranian folklore as its lens.
Explore a striking photography exhibition that offers a window into the diverse landscapes of Iran, underlining the urgent need for environmental preservation. Each image tells a story - of resilience, beauty, and a longing for harmony with nature.

UOS-SYMPOSIUM ON ENVIRONMENT SUSTAINABILITY
Empowering PGRs to make their science work accessible
Through our Capacity Building program, we have the potential to make real and positive change. This is one of our key areas of focus here at RosaSenCis Film Production Company, and a source of much success for this Climate Change initiative. Yang Sarah B Mohamad leads on organising the PGR poster competition where UoS students are invited to turn their research on sustainability environmental issues into accessible artistic posters.
Dr Rosa Cisneros will offer a training workshop open to anyone interested in learning more about how to make their research accessible and creative. PGRs will also have a chance to produce mockups and storyboard ideas on the day.

This strand of the Slow Burn: Fringe COP28 will collaborate with Sheffield Museums to explore their Natural History Collection and organise a series of activities.

Making Change Possible
Find out what is happening in Sheffield about the climate crisis and hear how museums and cultural heritage activities are central. You'll hear short presentations by local artists and researchers who will discuss climate change and its link to the arts and culture sector. Film screenings and flash talks will happen throughout the afternoon and the space will invite individuals to contribute to a living installation titled “Write a letter to the planet”.
